Well that didn’t take long…

Mere hours after Uber CEO Travis Kalanick announced he would be taking an indefinite leave of absence and special investigator Eric Holder delivered the findings of a report on cultural issues at the company, an Uber board member has resigned over a sexist remark.

It seems the beleaguered tech company cannot catch a break from the sexist and sexually-charged culture reputation hanging over it.  Ironically it was the Uber board that initiated the special investigation to dig into the problems at the company.  Execs have been fleeing and the Uber board has been faced with growing leadership challenges for the young tech giant.

Last night’s resignation comes after an audio recording was leaked from this past weekend’s board meeting.  This time it was the observation that the addition of a second female might lead to more than just another female Uber board member in the wake of the company’s current challenges.  Investor David Bonderman, the now-former Uber board member had this sexist observation:

“Actually what it shows is it’s much more likely to be more talking.”

As to that, we can only say… no comment.
